In this presentation, we will talk about the impact of this permanent shift on the workplace, services available to families when they need eldercare, the pros and cons of long term care insurance, the costs and types of care and what Medicare provides, and ways to encourage the adult caregiver to seek out services so as to prevent a crisis or burnout.

ABOUT THE TRAINER Sound Options’ CEO and President, Mary Lynn Pannen, is one of the nation's leading experts on Geriatric Care Management and Home Care for seniors and individuals with complex and wide- ranging needs. A natural outgrowth of her work as a Registered Nurse (RN), certified care manager, and private consultant for nursing, geriatrics, and medical legal reviews, Mary Lynn based her vision for Sound Options on her more than thirty-five years of hands-on experience working as an advocate for patients and families. Locally, she is an active volunteer and a member of Tacoma Rotary 8 Club. Additionally, Mary Lynn serves on the South Puget Sound Boys and Girls Club board and the Washington State Private Duty Association board.
